Infosec Technologies in the running for Network Computing Reseller of the Year
Infosec Technologies, a leading IT networking and security reseller, has been shortlisted for this year’s Network Computing Awards. About 100 companies were entered for the Network Computing Reseller of the Year Award, with only eight making the shortlist.
The Network Computing Awards were set up to recognise the hardware, software and services, and of course the companies behind them, which have most impressed the readers of Network Computing, the UK’s longest established computer networking publication.
The nominations process has enabled Network Computing to create short lists of finalists in a number of categories. On-line voting on the magazine’s website will now ultimately determine the winners. The Awards will be presented in late March at a formal Dinner in London.
Pete Sherwood, Managing Director, Infosec Technologies commented: “To achieve this support from our customers and partners in the IT industry is fantastic. After a very successful five years in business, being shortlisted for this award is great recognition of the team’s hard work.”

Infosec Technologies launches Webroot End-of-Life Advice Line
Webroot Email Security users and resellers can now call 0800 047 0484 to gain the best impartial advice available on maintaining and migrating their email content filtering, encryption and archiving with no loss of service.
Following the recent announcement by Webroot that they are exiting the email security business and not accepting new orders or renewals for this service, Infosec Technologies has launched a free impartial telephone help line open to both Webroot customers and Webroot’s other partners.
As a Webroot Platinum partner and their top UK reseller, Infosec Technologies decided to take action to guide customers through this period of uncertainty and is ideally qualified to provide clarity and advice on what to do as a user of the Webroot SaaS Services.
Over the last two months, Infosec Technologies has undertaken a comprehensive technical and commercial review of the UK Email and Web Security as a Service (SaaS) market. We have completed intensive due diligence on all leading vendors to identify a range of solutions that best fit Webroot’s customers’ specific needs, all with minimum migration service disruption. The vendor portfolio comprises: Mimecast, Websense, iCritical, Symantec, intY and Spamina.
“We have strong knowledge of the Webroot platforms and also other SaaS solutions and are able to offer the best advice on what, how and when to migrate user’s protection,” commented Pete Sherwood, Managing Director, Infosec Technologies. He continued: “We wanted to find a constructive and immediate way to help Webroot customers and share our understanding of how this development impacts their operations and review the options open to them both technically and commercially.”
One Infosec Technologies customer, the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP), has already been approached by a number of resellers offering unrealistically cheap replacement options.
Chris Bacon, ICT Manager, commented: “The resellers that contacted me were focused on what they could sell me, not what I need. I don’t have the time or bandwidth to research and assess alternate vendors so I spoke with the Infosec Technologies Webroot team. They took a genuine interest in my situation and needs and then proposed the best service and price for me. CILIP now have a migration plan in place with the full assistance of Infosec Technologies to port my extensive configuration across to a new service. I would highly recommend seeking their advice and support.”
The advice line will be handled by the Infosec Technologies support and technical team who will answer questions and any concerns around Webroot Email Security, other Webroot security services and information on alternative security solutions. Advice on seamless migration options and recommended timescales is also available.
The advice is based on Infosec Technologies long standing relationship with Webroot, a recent technical comprehensive review of the Email Security market and is completely impartial. Infosec Technologies is a Webroot Platinum Partner.
